We are always advancing our knowledge of HOW things happen; but just because we can describe existing things does not make us able to explain the fact that they exist. There’s an infinite number of alternate ways things could have panned out. If we rewind history and start back at 0 then let it run its course again. How different of a trajectory would the world take, Would humans still evolve to have ten fingers and different coloured skin and brains that invent economic systems and weapons, would words be made to describe the same ideas, would we invent combustion engines and red wine and castles and peace signs, would the same people fall in love, would someone recombine the right notes to the Happy Birthday song, would Shakespeares sonnets be rewritten… Would there be homo sapiens sapiens, would I be there and who would I be. You and I are a series of chance encounters and random probability… how lucky are we that we are here now, together.
